How to Install HDO BOX on Your TV

Step-by-step guide to install HDO BOX on Fire TV Stick, Android TV, and Smart TV boxes — including the Downloader code method.

⚠️ A media player is required to play movies & episodes

HDO BOX provides content links — you need Drama Player TV or Media ON installed on your TV to actually play them. Without a player, nothing will open. Download TV Players →

Recommended method for Fire TV: Use the Downloader App with code 4231143. This is the fastest and easiest way — no USB or file transfer needed.

Part 1 — Enable Unknown Sources

Go to Fire TV Settings
From your Fire TV home screen, navigate to the top menu bar and select Settings (the gear icon on the right side).

Open "My Fire TV"
Inside Settings, scroll right and select My Fire TV.

Open Developer Options
Select Developer Options. If you don't see it, go to About first, then click on "Fire TV" several times until you see "You are now a developer" — then go back to find it.

On older Fire TV models, Developer Options may appear under Settings → Device directly.

Turn on "Install Unknown Apps" for Downloader
Inside Developer Options, find Install unknown apps. Select Downloader from the list and toggle it to ON.
Part 2 — Install HDO BOX via Downloader Code

Find and Install the Downloader App
Use the Fire TV search bar to find Downloader (by AFTVnews). Install it from the Amazon Appstore and open it.

Enter the HDO BOX Downloader Code
Once the Downloader App is open, you'll see a URL/code input box. Enter the code below and press Go.

Downloader uses this code to navigate directly to the HDO BOX TV APK download page — no URL needed.

Wait for the Page to Load
After pressing Go, the Downloader App will open the HDO BOX download page automatically. Wait a few seconds for it to fully load.

Tap Download
On the download page, select the Download button and wait for the APK file to finish downloading.

Install the APK
When the download finishes, an installation prompt will appear. Select Install and wait for the process to complete.

Open HDO BOX & Install a Player
Tap Open to launch HDO BOX. Browse movies and TV shows — when you tap play on any content, you'll be prompted to open it with a media player.

Android TV supports two installation methods: using the Downloader App with code 4231143 (recommended), or downloading the TV APK directly from hdo.app/tv.

Method A — Downloader App (Easiest)

Enable Unknown Sources
Go to Settings → Device Preferences → Security & Restrictions and enable Unknown sources or toggle on the permission for the Downloader App.

The exact location varies by manufacturer. On some devices it's under Settings → Privacy → Security.

Install the Downloader App
Open the Google Play Store on your Android TV, search for Downloader by AFTVnews, and install it.

Open Downloader and Enter the Code
Launch the Downloader App, tap the input field, and enter the HDO BOX code below. Then press Go.

Download and Install HDO BOX TV APK
When the download page loads, tap Download. After it completes, tap Install on the installation prompt.

Launch HDO BOX
Tap Open to start HDO BOX, or find it in your Android TV app list. The app is optimized for TV interface and works with your remote control.

Method B — Direct APK from hdo.app/tv

Enable Unknown Sources on Your TV
Go to Settings → Security and enable Unknown sources or allow installs from your browser.

Open the Browser on Your Android TV
Open any browser on your Android TV (e.g., Google Chrome or the built-in browser) and navigate to hdo.app/tv.

Download the TV APK
On the hdo.app/tv page, tap Download. The APK file will be saved to your TV's downloads folder.

Install from Downloads
A notification will appear when the download is complete. Tap Install to proceed. If prompted, grant permission to install from unknown sources.

Open HDO BOX and Enjoy
Find HDO BOX in your app list and open it. Browse the movie and TV show library using your remote.

Compatible devices: Smart TV boxes running Android (Xiaomi Mi Box, NVIDIA Shield, Mecool, Tanix, and similar) can install HDO BOX using the steps below.

Installation Steps for Android TV Boxes

Verify Your TV Box Runs Android
Make sure your device runs Android OS (Android TV or standard Android). Non-Android Smart TVs (Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, etc.) cannot install APK files.

Allow Installation from Unknown Sources
Go to your TV box Settings → Security (or Privacy) and enable Install unknown apps or Unknown sources. This is required to install APK files outside the Play Store.

Install the Downloader App
Install Downloader by AFTVnews from the Google Play Store on your TV box. Open it once installed.

Enter Code 4231143 and Press Go
In the Downloader App input field, enter the code below and tap Go. It will navigate directly to the HDO BOX TV APK download page.

Download and Install the APK
When the download page loads, tap Download. Wait for the file to save, then tap Install to complete the installation.

Install Drama Player TV (Required)
Before watching, also install Drama Player TV on your device — it's required to play movies and TV shows from within HDO BOX.

Launch HDO BOX and Start Watching
Find HDO BOX in your TV box app drawer or home screen. Open it and explore the full movie and TV show library on the big screen.

On some TV boxes, newly installed apps appear under All Apps. Pin HDO BOX to the home screen for quicker access.

Samsung, LG, and non-Android Smart TVs do not support APK installation. For these TVs, the best option is to connect an Android TV box or Fire TV Stick to your TV's HDMI port and follow the steps above.
